FOUNDER PROFILE & CREDENTIALS

Mousom Roy

Advanced Research Fellow | Mechatronics & Materials Architect

Mousom Roy is a dynamic research scientist, mechatronics architect, and software engineer specializing in functional materials characterization, custom hardware automation, and local AI orchestration. Over his career, he has focused on bridging laboratory instrumentation silos with intelligent digital frameworks, transforming analogue research setups into interconnected digital ecosystems.

His technical foundation began with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, establishing core mechanics principles. He then pivoted into materials research, completing his M.Tech in Nanoscience & Technology from the prestigious School of Materials Science & Nanotechnology at Jadavpur University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering. His work includes active research on self-energy harvesting thin film prototypes and DST-SERB funded scientific process development.

As the architect behind RAYMSM Systems, Mousom drives mechatronics hardware engineering, ESP32 firmware development, and custom local AI integration. In recognition of this mechatronics-software synergy, he received the prestigious IIC Seed Grant Support 2025-26 for the development of a low-cost, high-precision thermal conductivity measurement characterization rig.
